A homeless woman has been arrested for allegedly stealing a US Postal Service truck and slamming it into at least 10 parked cars during a wild episode in Brooklyn.

The mail-odrama unfolded just after 6 p.m. Friday on Fulton Street and Patchen Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant when Martha Thaxton, 21, jumped behind the wheel of the empty mail truck and took a seven-block joyride, police said.

Thaxton was charged Saturday with burglary, grand larceny auto, criminal possession of stolen property, reckless endangerment, unauthorized use of a vehicle and was issued a violation for not having a license, police said.

The thief tried to run when the mail truck gave out at Fulton and Troop Avenue, authorities said.

The stunned truck driver flagged down cops from a nearby housing response unit to report the theft, then rode along with officers as they followed the stolen vehicle until it came to a stop on Fulton Street.

No one was hurt. In all, 10 cars were damaged by the wild ride.
