Police have identified a man they believe to be connected to an 11-month-old murder in the Bronx, officials said Saturday.

Shawn Lewis, 25, is believed to have played a role in the killing of 24-year-old Charles Powell, who was shot less then a block from his home on Clay Avenue near E. 169th Street in Concourse Village on May 16, 2018, police said.

Powell was found unconscious after being shot in the head and leg, police said. He was taken to Bronx Lebanon Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police identified Lewis after a person familiar with the crime identified him, cops said. Detectives had previously brought in a different suspect, who was later cleared.

Lewis is described as about 5-foot-6 inches tall with brown eyes and black hair.
