Police radio captured the dramatic moments after a Jersey City veteran officer was fatally shot and before two gun-wielding assailants stormed a local Jewish deli in a targeted attack.

“In the back of [Bay View Cemetery] we have a PO shot in the head down on the ground — lifeless condition,” one cop can be heard telling dispatch in the recording obtained by The Post.

That officer was Detective Joseph Seals, 55, a married father of five, who was in plainclothes at the time of the Tuesday incident.

Law enforcement sources previously told The Post that Seals spotted a stolen U-Haul van linked to a killing in Bayonne this past weekend and was shot in the head when he tried to question its occupants.

Authorities learned that Seals had been shot as two gun-toting suspects, identified by sources as David Anderson and Francine Graham, pulled up to the Jersey City Kosher Supermarket in the van about a mile away and opened fire on the store before going inside.

Three civilian bystanders were slain inside the store on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in the Greenville neighborhood.

“We have an officer down. We don’t know how he’s down,” a cop can be heard saying in the radio transmission.

A dispatcher is heard asking if anyone was with the officer at the time of the shooting, and a cop responds: “Negative … he was down on the ground already.”

Shortly after, an officer tells dispatch, “This looks like this incident may have originated here in the cemetery with the plainclothes officer working on his own. I think Bayview may be a secondary scene.

“There are no eyewitness accounts as to the way the officer was shot.”

During the recording, cops confirm that CCTV captured two suspects in all black running into the store.

Officials have said the shooting was a targeted attack on the Jewish shop.
