Cops were canvassing a Queens neighborhood today for witnesses and possible video footage of three thugs who killed a young woman in a mugging-gone-awry.
Rabie Mohammed, 23, was walking on 204th Street near 93rd Avenue with her husband around 8:30 p.m. yesterday when the creeps demanded her purse, police said.
When the victim refused, she was shot twice in the chest. She later died at Jamaica Hospital.
Cops believe that someone in the neighborhood — which is a mix of residential and commercial buildings — may have seen the getaway. A nearby business that might have security cameras also may have captured footage of fleeing thugs, police said.
The 29-year-old husband was not wounded in the brutal attack.
