A cab driver was shot in the hand by a passenger in Harlem on Wednesday, officials said.

The hack — who was driving a green boro taxi — picked up the suspect in Queens and drove the man to Harlem shortly before 9 a.m.

But when they arrived outside a building at the Wagner Houses on First Avenue near East 120th Street, the passenger pulled out a gun and fired a bullet through the driver’s hand.

The suspect then got out of the car and disappeared. Police are still searching for him.

The driver was taken to Harlem Hospital in stable condition.

It’s not immediately clear if the passenger was attempting to rob the driver or avoid paying his fare, police said.

The incident is still under investigation.
