VALLEY STREAM, N.Y. — Police say a Long Island homeowner was attacked and robbed after he answered the door and two armed men forced their way inside.

The 23-year-old victim answered a knock on the side door of his Valley Stream home. Once inside, the suspects held the resident and two other occupants of the house at gunpoint. Police say they struck the homeowner on the side of his head with a gun.

Police say the gunmen fled after stealing cash, cell phones, a Play Station and wallet.

The homeowner was treated at a hospital for a laceration to the head.
