NYPD cops fired 84 rounds at a gunman who turned his weapon on them shortly after shooting a man during a robbery early Friday — but he was only struck once in the leg, sources said.
The suspect, identified as Jerrol Harris, 52, had allegedly shot Leon Faison, 27, at about 1 a.m. in Bushwick when police arrived and pursued him, law-enforcement sources said.
Harris fired his weapon multiple times at police, who responded with a fusillade of bullets.
“It’s a miracle no one died,” one police source said.
Harris was taken to Kings County Hospital in stable condition.
Faison was sent to Elmhurst Hospital with a gunshot wound to the arm, sources said.
Police said they recovered Harris’ gun at the scene.
The officers hit were being treated for minor injuries.
Harris was charged with 5 counts of attempted murder, including four of attempted murder of a police officer.
