PELHAM MANOR, N.Y. — A Westchester County man is accused of driving the wrong way on a parkway, while drunk, during Wednesday’s snowstorm.
Police say he also drove at an off-duty New York City police officer who approached his vehicle on the Hutchinson River Parkway. The officer jumped out of the way. The driver was arrested after police subdued him.
County police spokesman Kieran O’Leary said Thursday the man had a blood alcohol level more than twice the legal limit.
The White Plains resident was arraigned in Pelham Manor Village Court. He was held at the Westchester County jail in Valhalla.
