A Long Island woman says her busybody boss at Nassau University Medical Center crossed a legal line when she accessed the woman’s medical records to feed the office gossip grapevine.
Linda Mott didn’t give co-workers details about the minor surgery she was having in October 2009, she says in a lawsuit.
But when she came back to work at the NUMC billing department, people were whispering.
Mott discovered that her supervisor, Theresa Keating, had accessed her medical records, according to court papers.
NUMC declined to comment.
