A letter carrier has given a new meaning to the term “junk mail.”
Vincent Holder Jr. was nabbed Monday for dumping nearly 3,000 pieces of undelivered mail, according to federal authorities.
Holder allegedly left 11 bags stuffed with letters and parcels in a Crown Heights dumpster in mid-April, prosecutors said.
More mail was found in his Brooklyn home.
In addition to mail intended for Brooklyn residents — some of which was even addressed to Holder himself — the bags contained unspecified personal items, according to court documents.
Some items were postmarked as long ago as June 2015, court papers say.
Holder, 28, told feds he dumped the mail for “personal reasons” and declined to elaborate.
He was released on $50,000 bond.
