Poster Boy cuts deal
The subway vandal known as Poster Boy — a daring cut-up who sliced apart subway ads to create his own art — yesterday agreed to a plea deal to perform 210 hours of community service.
“It’s somewhat extreme, the number of hours that was required by the DA’s office,” said lawyer Kerry Gotlib. “My impression was that the DA’s office took a very harsh view of this case, and they were not terribly flexible.”
Asked by Brooklyn Supreme Court Justice Michael Gary if he was the one featured in a YouTube video defacing posters in the Fulton Street G train station in Fort Greene, Poster Boy — Henry Matyjewicz, 28 — answered simply “yes.”
He pleaded guilty to two different counts of criminal mischief — one a felony and one a misdemeanor.
