A New York woman fatally stabbed her elderly mother on a quaint block in Poughkeepsie on Monday afternoon — with the crime scene straight out of TV’s “Law & Order,’’ cops and neighbors said.

Olga Hinds-Coley, 78, was found knifed in the chest inside the private house on tree-lined Oak Crescent around 1:20 p.m., the Poughkeepsie Police Department said.

First responders treated Hinds-Coley’s grave injuries, but she could not be saved, authorities said.

Hinds-Coley’s daughter, 50-year-old Denise Gilpin, was identified as a person of interest as investigators probed the case, cops said.

Gilpin was arrested and charged with second-degree murder early Tuesday, after detectives collected evidence and conducted interviews that connected her to the slaying, police said.

A neighbor told News 12 that the crime scene “was literally like an episode of ‘Law & Order.’

“Like, everyone was all over the place,” local resident Carlos Marzano told the network. “It’s the textbook, I never thought it would happen.”

Gilpin was arraigned in Poughkeepsie City Court and ordered held without bail, cops said.

The motive for the domestic murder was not known by Tuesday.
