A power outage has halted commuter trains going to and from New York’s Grand Central Terminal.

Marjorie Anders of the Metro-North Railroad says the outage was reported around 2:30 p.m. Thursday.

It affected service in both directions through the Park Avenue tunnel.

Anders said workers were trying to pinpoint the cause of the outage.

The afternoon rush hour begins around 4 p.m.
