The Long Island millionaire who lost a recent landmark court case that tossed out his prenuptial agreement said he asked his bride to sign the document only because he wanted “to make sure she wasn’t marrying me for my money.”

Peter Petrakis denied he ever told his wife, Elizabeth, that he would rip up the prenup after they had kids, as she contends — but the Brooklyn Appellate Court sided with her.

“I never once said that,’’ he told The Post at lawyer Stephen Gassman’s office. “It’s a silly thing to say.’’

Petrakis refused to say what led him to file for divorce in October 2010, insisting that it had nothing to do with the prenup.

He said he got the idea for the prenup from his idol, Donald Trump.

In 1995, Trump said on TV, “Anyone getting married without a prenup is crazy,” Petrakis said.
