JERSEY CITY, N.J. — Authorities in northern New Jersey are searching for a pregnant woman who disappeared just days before her due date.

Jersey City police say 27-year-old Aileen Cepeda Velasquez left her home Tuesday night to go to the store to buy a soda and did not return.

Family members say the native of Puerto Rico is the mother of two girls, ages 5 and 9.

Her boyfriend, who is the father of the children, lives in Puerto Rico. Family members said Friday that she planned to visit him soon.
