A pressure cooker was found under the Major Deegan Expressway in the Bronx on Wednesday afternoon, temporarily closing down streets and a portion of the highway.
The kitchen gadget was discovered at East 134th Street & Alexander Avenue at around 7 p.m. — and later deemed not dangerous, police said.
The pressure cooker did not appear to have wires or a cellphone connected to it — such as the two explosive devices planted in Chelsea last weekend, sources said.
Police investigated the pressure cooker and determined it was not an explosive device.
