A storied Manhattan preschool network abruptly announced its closure Tuesday — and parents who enrolled their tots for next year are furious.
The Mandell Preschool sent an e-mail blast saying it would shutter at the end of the academic year.
“We are writing to share the very sad news that our owners notified us that they are closing our programs at the end of this school year,” the message read.
Parents were incensed that they were given the news well after the deadline for preschool applications — leaving them stranded for next year.
“This is a sad end for what was once a really bright and hopeful place,” said a former student’s parent. “People got greedy.”
