It looks like the real-estate industry can live with the newest “prevailing wage” mandate the City Council is about to impose.

The bill, which Council Speaker Christine Quinn is set to pass next week, would expand the number of building-service workers — such as janitors, cleaning crews and security guards — covered by a wage schedule set by the city comptroller, usually matching the pay rates in union contracts.
