Principal out of retirement
The retired principal of Sandy Hook Elementary will return to lead the school when classes resume next month.
Donna Page, who left in June 2010, will run the school out of its new home at the Chalk Hill Middle School in nearby Monroe, according to the Hartford Courant.
Page was replaced as principal in 2010 by Dawn Hochsprung — the first massacre victim — who attempted to stop killer Adam Lanza at the start of his shooting spree. Hochsprung’s wake was held yesterday afternoon.
