Police are on the hunt for an escaped prisoner — dressed only in his underwear and a pair of handcuffs — on Staten Island, police said.

The 41-year-old, identified as Hector Calo, bolted out the back door at 105 Van Duzer St. in Tompkinsville after his parole officer showed up with a couple of NYPD cops and cuffed him about 7 a.m., police said.

Calo then fled into woods.

Police were still searching the neighborhood for Calo, who is handcuffed and said to be dressed in a T-shirt and briefs.

It’s not immediately clear why authorities wanted to arrest him.

Calo does not live at the location he fled from and police said his connection to it is still unknown.
