Complaining that the city Department of Education is shielding the identity of abusive teachers, a pro-charter advocacy group launched a new Web site (safeschoolsnow.nyc) Friday where parents and school whistleblowers can expose wrongdoers.

The group, Families for Excellent Schools, also released the names of 19 educators previously arrested or accused of child abuse, many previously reported by The Post and other media.

The group released a report recently claiming that violent incidents in city schools spiked by 23 percent last year, clashing with the de Blasio administration’s figures that schools were getting safer.

DOE spokeswoman Devora Kaye responded, “We must ensure there is a great teacher in every classroom, and we have clear procedures and tools in place to remove teachers who don’t create safe environments for students and families.

“We’ll continue to use these procedures to investigate and address complaints, and ensure students are safe and secure.”

DOE officials said virtually all of the 19 educators mentioned were either fired, resigned, suspended or reassigned to jobs away from kids.
