Albany Take notice, enviros: pro-frackers are uniting.

Contractors, builders, landowners, engineers, business owners and others have formed a “Clean Growth Now” coalition to push for high-volume natural-gas drilling in upstate’s Marcellus Shale.

The Cuomo administration is weighing permits for the practice denounced by environmentalists.

“There is a need for a grass-roots organization to give voice to people in the communities who will be most affected by hydrofracking,” said coalition member Brian McMahon, director of the New York State Economic Development Council, who said getting the drilling right “would mean thousands of jobs for decades to come.”
