Assemblyman Keith Wright not only smokes in his office, but the county committee he heads has taken in $14,500 from Big Tobacco since he took over. He also has refused to back legislation that his fellow Dems are supporting to curtail smoking.

He voted against a 2010 bill to prohibit smoking in private vehicles when anyone younger than 14 is a passenger.

In 2015, he voted against a bill that would rein in e-cigarette use, the only member of the Manhattan delegation to oppose it.

Altria, the parent company of Philip Morris, has donated $14,500 to the New York County Democratic Committee since 2009, when Wright became its leader.

Wright, 61, is seeking to replace departing Rep. Charles Rangel and faces a primary this month against Sen. Adriano Espaillat and five other Dems.

Wright spokeswoman Emma Forbes said the assemblyman had supported numerous bills to curtail smoking.
