Outraged families of 9/11 victims demanded yesterday that the Manhattan DA and Gov. Cuomo’s office investigate staffers from the city’s chief medical examiner’s office who kept “trophies” after the terror attacks.

The Post reported Sunday that ranking staffers collected the creepy keepsakes from 9/11 evidence and the deadly Staten Island Ferry crash in 2003.

“I feel devastated that these people, when they should have been looking for my son, they were more interested in collecting souvenirs. It brings it all back,” said Sally Regenhard, whose rookie firefighter son Christian, 28, was lost after responding to the WTC.

Retired FDNY Deputy Chief James Riches, whose 29-year-old son Jimmy was also killed, called the staffers “horrible, disgusting and disrespectful” of the families.

“For someone to take those articles is disgraceful,” Riches fumed.

ME spokeswoman Ellen Borakove called the families’ demands to investigate unnecessary.

“With respect to the weekend story about OCME staff, those are old allegations that have been investigated by DOI and resolved,” she said.

Reps for Manhattan DA Cyrus Vance Jr., and Cuomo had no comment.
