A fund-raiser by Mayor de Blasio’s Thursday night in Midtown was assailed by protesters, who blasted him for his views on issues from carriage horses to housing to public safety.
Chanting, “F–k Bill de Blasio” and, “One-term mayor,” about 50 protesters railed outside the Sheraton Midtown against the addition of extra cops with taxpayer money, a plan to privatize public-housing land and a rezoning plan in Brooklyn.
At one point, about 20 of them rushed into the hotel, but cops ejected them. No one was arrested. A separate group of about 30 demanded a carriage-horse ban, calling de Blasio a “sellout.”
Hizzoner raised more than $1 million at the fund-raiser, kicking off his re-election campaign.
