Hundreds of demonstrators packed downtown Manhattan yesterday to protest the Obama administration’s decision to put 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheik Mohammed and others on trial in the city.

“We refuse to let New York become a platform for the terrorists’ mockery,” Edith Lutnick, co-founder of the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund for terror victims, told the crowd in Foley Square outside federal court.

Debra Burlingame, whose brother Charles Burlingame III was a pilot aboard American Airlines Flight 77, which crashed into the Pentagon, said bringing Mohammed into a New York courtroom was “a perversion.”

An angry crowd booed whenever the names of President Obama or US Attorney General Eric Holder were mentioned.
