Holding placards that read “Stop Police Harassment” and “God Bless the Street Vendors,” protestors spoke out against an incident on Thursday when several of them were arrested after cops told them to close down their carts and leave the area. Their carts — which put food on their tables, besides serving eats to hungry pedestrians — were confiscated as “evidence” they alleged.

No one was arrested in the peaceful 40 minute protest organized by the Urban Justice Center, officials said.
