The first pro team to break in Brooklyn’s new arena won’t be the Nets — it’ll be the Islanders.
Barclays Center and Islanders officials confirmed yesterday the hockey team is set to play the first professional game at the arena — and the first-ever NHL game played in Brooklyn — on Oct. 2 when they meet the New Jersey Devils.
