Organizers of the Puerto Rican Day Parade on Tuesday demanded a front-page apology from the Daily News over the tasteless tabloid’s photo of two topless panhandlers it claimed took part in the procession.

Parade Chair Lorraine Cortes-Vazquez, in a letter to the paper’s CEO, said the women — whose painted posteriors appeared under the headline “Rear view on parade” — were “clearly nowhere near the parade route but in Times Square.”

“The board and the community at large are deeply offended and concerned, as this mistake is a gross, overt misrepresentation of the parade,” she wrote.

Parade organizers said they will protest in front of the News’ downtown offices at 4 p.m. Wednesday.
