A lawmaker has a message for smokers who thought they could find a haven in state parks: Move your ashes.

Following the city’s outdoor ban on butts, a Bronx legislator hopes to extend the ban to state-owned places, such as Jones Beach and Long Beach on Long Island and Manhattan’s Riverbank and Roberto Clemente state parks, with $50 fines for violators.

“You go to a park or to the other places for enjoyment, for healthy activities, not to be victimized by somebody else’s smoke,” said Democratic Assemblyman Jeffrey Dinowitz, the bill’s sponsor.

“There are plenty of places where people can smoke, and our parks should not be among them.”

The bill awaits a sponsor in the Republican-controlled Senate.
