Parents and elected officials are pushing for legislation to force costumed tip seekers in Times Square to reveal their identities — after a man dressed as Woody from “Toy Story” and other masked hustlers were busted behaving badly.

“They should be licensed. As a parent, you don’t want people approaching your children and trying hug them, someone who could be a criminal,” said Moses Ramler, 35, a tourist out with his daughter Friday.

On Thursday, José Vasquez, 44, was arrested by undercover officers for allegedly grabbing a girl’s butt while dressed as Woody, police sources said

He joins a cast of mascots arrested in recent years, including a Cookie Monster accused of shoving a tot, a Super Mario arrested for alleged molestation and an anti-Semitic Elmo.

Pols plan to draft a law requiring characters to register with the city and display ID.

“I look forward to working on legislation to regulate this industry,” said Councilman Corey Johnson.
