A Queens woman who threw a surprise birthday bash for a friend was shot dead yesterday after tossing out a party crasher, police sources said.
Avalisa Morris, 26, a bank supervisor, was shot in the head and abdomen shortly before 4:30 a.m. at a house on 119th Road in St. Albans.
The bullet hit her after passing through a basement door that she’d shut to keep out crashers, authorities said.
O’Neil Mairs, 23, of Queens was arrested late last night and on murder and other charges.
“Avalisa tried to play peacekeeper,” said her aunt, Audrelyn Anderson.
The victim, who supervised tellers at a long Island bank, “had been cooking all day, and she was so excited,” said Anderson.
“She just wanted everybody to have fun.”
