A reckless hoodlum led cops on a high-speed car chase through Queens yesterday that ended when he plowed into an innocent 61-year-old woman, witnesses and authorities said.
Plainclothes cops first discovered the suspect rifling through purses inside his van in a Filene’s Basement parking lot on 188th Street at about 3:45 p.m., cops said.
The suspect took off and then two unmarked NYPD vehicles chased the blue Dodge minivan for about two miles until the dangerous crook lost control near Kissena Boulevard and 59th Street in Flushing.
He struck the woman, hit a telephone pole and was arrested, police and witnesses said.
Charges were pending last night.
The woman broke her wrist and hip and was rushed to New York Hospital Queens.
