A Queens husband accused of repeatedly stabbing his wife with a meat cleaver was ordered held without bail for his heinous behavior.
Kang Wang, 53 of Flushing, allegedly struck his 52-year-old wife, Hui Zhen Lui, approximately 60 times in the head and body with the sharp cooking utensil that caused multiple gaping wounds and possible brain injury.
Wang was held without bail and charged with attempted murder, assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
The attack, which happened in front of the couple’s 22-year-old son who attempted to pin down his father, was stopped by a good Samaritan who was nearby armed with an ice scraper.
Lui remains in critical condition at a local hospital.
If convicted, Wang faces up to 25 years in prison.
