Call it fisherman’s luck.
A boater from Bayside, Queens, will take to the high seas in style next season after hitting a $2 million jackpot in the New York Lottery.
Scott Margolin, 30, scored on a $5 scratch-off he bought at a 7-Eleven on Bell Boulevard on Oct. 21.
He and his buddy Eric Jaklitsch were walking into a neighboring coffee shop when Margolin had a hunch that 7-Eleven might be a luckier spot.
“We almost walked into another place for coffee, my buddy opened the door, but I said why not go to 7-Eleven?” Margolin said, back at the lucky location yesterday.
“We were playing scratch-off here for the past couple of weeks, and we were winning 20, 30 dollars every couple of days. It was fun. So then I decided to upgrade to $5 tickets.
“I scratched, and when I realized I had three W’s, I froze for a minute.”
