Before even dropping her debut album, Queens-raised rapper Nicki Minaj has become the first female to be named on MTV’s “hottest MC’s list” of the past year, announced yesterday.

The 25-year-old, whose real name is Onika Tonya Maraj and who has been rising in stature in hip-hop this year, came in at No. 6 on the annual list, which is in its fourth year. On top of the list was Eminem

Minaj’s debut album, “Pink Friday,” is due in November. The list was based on lyrical ability, flow, commercial success and cultural impact, MTV said.
