Queens District Attorney Richard Brown is recovering after undergoing a minimally invasive heart-valve procedure in Manhattan on Monday morning, his office said.

The non-emergency surgery was performed by Dr. Mathew Williams, who heads the structural and heart-valve program at New York University Langone Medical Center, the DA’s office said in a statement.

Brown, 84, is expected to recover fully and is likely to be released from the hospital in a couple of days, the statement said.

A DA’s office spokeswoman said Brown underwent a bypass surgery back in July 1998 and has been under the care of a cardiologist since then.
