A Queens deliveryman who was busted for raping four women over a six-year stretch admitted to the heinous crimes today just minutes before jury selection was to begin for his trial.
Mauricio Rosales, 34 of Jamaica, was allowed to plead down to sexually assaulting the women — including a 12-year-old girl — at knifepoint and robbing them. The Mexican immigrant — who left traces of his semen behind in all four attacks — was facing 25 years to life on charges he raped all four women, but agreed to a plea in exchange for a flat 25 years prison.
“He left semen all over Queens County,” said prosecutor Eric Rosenbaum who requested that Rosales receive 40 years.
Rosales was linked to the rapes that happened between 2000 to 2005 after he plead guilty in November 2009 to a petty larceny charge and had to give a DNA sample. Investigators matched it with the rapes in 2000 and 2003 where he masturbated on both the victims.
“[Rosales] is a broken and disturbed individual and should spend the rest of his days in a penitentiary,” Rosenbaum continued to argue his case with Queens Supreme Court Justice Richard Buchter.
The judge agreed with the prosecutor’s position, but stood firm with his decision and will sentence Rosales on August 22.
