A Queens man was killed early this morning when he rear-ended a commercial truck in Springfield Gardens.

The driver, identified as Joseph Brown, 29, was traveling southbound with three other people in his Nissan sedan car when it collided with a white box truck at 4:06 a.m., on Rockaway Blvd. between Brookville Blvd. and Guy R. Brewer Blvd., police said.

Brown, of Queens, was declared dead at Jamaica Hospital.

The other passengers, a 29-year-old woman; 22-year-old woman; and 21-year-old woman sustained various injuries and were listed in stable condition.

The 39-year-old truck driver was also injured, police said, and was in stable condition.

Detectives are investigating the accident, but do not suspect any “criminality,” police said.
