Two children playing in their front yard in Queens were hit by an out-of-control car, authorities said tonight.
One of the children, a 4-year-old girl, was hospitalized in critical condition, officials said.
The car was headed North Conduit Avenue near 160th Street in Ozone Park at 4:50 p.m. when it lost control and jumped the curb, police said.
An 11-year-old boy also was injured. He was listed in stable condition at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, where the little girl was being treated, also, police said.
The driver remained on scene, and cops are still trying to determine why he lost control of the car.
