A man was gunned down this morning near his home in Queens, cops said.

Marcus Wharwood, 28, was shot several times in the head and chest as he as he was walking down the street near Remington Street and Shore Avenue at around 5:30 a.m., cops said.

Paramedics rushed Wharwood to Jamaica Hospital where he was died two hours later, police said.

The unknown gunman fled from the scene, police said.

The victim has a previous arrest history for drug related offenses, police sources said.
