A Queens man who was facing life in prison for murdering his girlfriend during a domestic squabble copped a plea today that will see him sentenced to 20 years in prison.
Tigran Tambiev, 46, of Long Island City, told a Queens judge that he repeatedly stabbed his 49-year-old live-in girlfriend, Susan Woolf, in the back and chest during a heated argument inside their apartment on Dec. 11, 2009.
Tambiev pled guilty to first-degree manslaughter and will be sentenced on Oct. 17, said Queens District Attorney Richard A. Brown.
Woolf’s body was found the following day by a friend who went to check on her.
Tambiev fled the blood-soaked apartment and was found a month later in Miami Beach.
