A Queens senior citizen whom robbers tied up by the hands and feet managed to wriggle out of his bondage and attract the attention of two passing sanitation workers Saturday, cops said.
The 67-year-old man was asleep in his Jamaica home at around 6 a.m. when an intruder used a resting ladder to climb into a second-floor bedroom, sources said.
The robber allegedly pulled a gun and bashed the man on the head before letting two pals, a man and a woman, in through the front door, according to police.
The thieving threesome ransacked the house and walked out with the victim’s wallet, cellphone and television — using zip ties to bind his wrists and ankles, and leaving him bleeding on his bed, his rescuers said.
It took the man two hours to free himself of his foot bindings. Once free, he leapt downstairs and out the door, where he caught the attention of two of New York’s Strongest at around 8:45 a.m.
“His face was bleeding, his arms were bleeding, it was pretty bad,” said Joseph Felicetti, one of the rescuers. “It was like something from a movie set.”
The other sanitation worker, Michael Bermudez, 35, of South Ozone Park, described finding the victim outside in his underpants.
“It was weird, not something you see every day,” the worker said.
