A Queens trio was arrested and charged with price-gouging for allegedly capitalizing on coronavirus panic by selling life-saving R95 respirators for 10 times the price, officials said.

Accused hawkers Yuriy Borukhov, 33, Maisey Khovasov, 23, and Michael Borukhov, 23, were arrested and were issued desk-appearance tickets, Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz’s office said.

The men are accused of selling 1,000 3M-made R95 medical masks to undercover agents for $10 instead of the $1 they normally go for, officials said.

R95 masks can filter out a broader range of particles than N95 masks — with the R standing for “somewhat resistant to oil” while the N indicates no resistance, according to 3M.

An undercover detective posing as a buyer answered an online ad for the 1,000 masks at $10 a pop and met the trio to make the sale on April 17 after about two weeks of working out a deal via text message, Katz’s office said.

Michael Borokhov then allegedly opened the trunk of a Chrysler which held two boxes containing 240 R95 face masks — which normally sell for just a buck. After the men allegedly took the agent’s $10,000 payment, they were arrested on the spot, officials said.

Police found another 820 of the masks in the car, Katz’s office said.

“Sadly, these three men allegedly thought about pocketing a profit as a result of the coronavirus outbreak by price gouging,” Katz said in a statement. “This is unconscionable and will not stand in Queens County.”

They are due in court on Aug. 15.

It was not immediately known who their lawyers are.
