A Queens woman who killed and castrated her father was sentenced to the maximum today by a judge who complained a sympathetic verdict from the jury took away any chance of further mercy.

Justice Arthur Cooperman gave Brigitte Harris five to fifteen years in prison on her September conviction for second-degree manslaughter.

She strangled her father and mutilated his corpse with a scalpel she bought on eBay.

Cooperman said the jury, who acquitted Harris of murder and first-degree manslaughter in the August 2007 attack, disobeyed his instruction not to allow their emotions to sway their verdict.

“The jury demonstrated leniency that the court may otherwise have exercised, said Cooperman as he handed Harris the longest sentence allowed.

Harris, 28, whose father Eric Goodridge sexually bused her throughout her childhood, made an impassioned plea for mercy.

“I implore your Honor, please be lenient, she said. I have been suffering every day almost my entire life.”
