A quick-thinking nurse is credited with helping lifeguards save an 11-year-old boy who nearly drowned at a Staten Island pool.
Pamela Glennon dashed over to perform mouth-to-mouth resuscitation when she saw lifeguards starting emergency procedures on Wednesday night.
The child had turned blue. But he was “responsive and breathing on his own” by the time paramedics arrived.
Glennon’s proud fiance, Ryan Murphy, tells the Advance that he won’t go swimming in the future without his “superhero” by his side.
