A raging car fire ground traffic to a halt on the Manhattan Bridge.

Stunned New Yorkers looked on early Saturday evening as flames and dark clouds of smoke began billowing from the hatchback shortly after 6 p.m., the FDNY said.

“Stay safe new york city. caught this fire on manhattan bridge, feels like out of a movie,” one Twitter user posted with a video of the fire.

The car, stopped near the middle of the span on the Brooklyn-bound side, was completely engulfed in flames before firefighters could place the blaze under control around 7:30 p.m.

No injuries were reported. It’s not immediately clear what caused the fire.
