Gov. Cuomo yesterday hinted that pay raises for state legislators hinge on which party controls the state Senate.

“Let’s get to Election Day and see who wins,” he said, adding, “I don’t think it’s a productive exercise to start a conversation until you actually know who’s going to be in.”

Legislators would have to vote for a pay hike before the end of the year to get it enacted next year.
