In a bizarre legal move, Rep. Charles Rangel is seeking to settle a lawsuit he filed against fellow members of Congress.
Rangel attorney Jay Goldberg filed a motion last Tuesday requesting “a conference to facilitate the settlement of this case and controversy.”
Rangel, 83, sued to overturn his censure, which Congress passed in 2010 after learning that the Harlem elder statesman failed to pay taxes.
