The New York Police Department is seeking a suspect in two rapes in the Bronx a decade apart.
The first rape occurred on Aug. 16, 2000 and the second on Nov. 4, 2010. Both victims were 21-year-old women. Both were approached by a man who pulled a gun on them and then raped them.
Both women were treated at local hospitals. No arrest was ever made in the first case.
Police said Thursday that DNA evidence linked the two attacks. They released a sketch of the rapist and a surveillance photo of the white Nissan Pathfinder where the second victim was raped.
